JBT Tournament Rules

    1. Tournament is open to all Rochester USBC Youth Association certified bowlers and alumni ages 10 through 21 as of August 1, 2011. Juniors bowlers under the age of 10 may compete if their highest sanctioned league average is 140 or above.
    2. Bowlers will use their highest 2011-2012 average (minimum 12 games). If a bowler has not yet reached a 12 game average for the 2011-2012 season, the bowler will use his/her highest book average for 2010-2011. The 10-11 book average will be used for all bowlers at the first tournament at Doug Kent's. The tournament director reserves the right to rerate any bowler.
    3. Written verification of average must be presented at time of entry. Bowlers without verification must bowl scratch. 
    4. Dress Code: Collared or mock collared shirts. No athletic shorts or pants, no sweatpants or cut off tee-shirts are allowed. No hats are to be worn during competition. Plaid, cargo or dress shorts of appropriate length are permitted.
    5. No cell phones,Ipods, or electronic devices in the settee area.
    6. Foul language, displays of temper, or abuse of bowling center equipment will not be tolerated, and may cause immediate disqualification from the tournament. No refunds will be given.
    7. Each tournament will accept entries on a first come first serve basis. 
    8. All rules not covered within will be governed by the rules of USBC.
 
    Formats:

Handicap Division

(80%) of 200) Maximum handicap 64 pins per game

First Round: All entrants wills bowl four games (across 8 lanes). Top 50%(with handicap) will advance to the second round.

Second Round: All advancing bowlers will bowl 3 games (across 6 lanes). Bowler's seven game handicap total will be used. Top 5 bowlers advance to step ladder final (single game elimination).

Scratch Division
First Round: All entrants wills bowl four games (across 8 lanes). Top 50% will advance to the second round.

Second Round: All advancing bowlers will bowl 3 match games with bonus pins awarded (across 6 lanes). Bowler's seven game total (including bonus pins) will be used. Top 5 bowlers advance to step ladder final (single game elimination).
